During your initial appointment, we will perform various tests to assess the condition of your oral health and to create a dental plan based on your unique, individual needs. We look forward to meeting you!
Initial Oral Examination
Here at Refuah Family Dental, we always welcome new patients. It is our goal to make sure our new patients are welcomed into our office with open arms. We are dedicated to taking care of our patients and giving them a healthy smile of which they can be proud.
We are also dedicated to ensuring that all of our patients’ questions are answered and they feel comfortable with any procedures that need to be done. Anytime that we have new patients, we start out with a thorough examination and radiographs so we can evaluate your overall dental health. Then, it is our job to talk to you about all of the different options we have to give you the smile you deserve. We want you to make an informed decision, no matter what we have to do. We want you to be comfortable throughout your entire procedure. We offer many procedures in our office, including professional cleanings, fillings, root canals, and much more. We also proud of the fact that we can do many cosmetic dental procedures including whitening, implants, bridges, and more to give you a healthy and happy smile!
It is our goal to make you proud of your smile! We will do everything we can to help you achieve that as quickly and easily as possible. We accept most dental insurance plans, so be sure to ask us before scheduling an appointment. We will discuss cost at every visit so that you know what your insurance will and will not pay for.
The Preventive Program
Here at Refuah Family Dental, we know and understand the importance of good preventative care. Part of this includes brushing and flossing your teeth properly. Good dental preventative care is really important to ensure a healthy mouth, including your gums and teeth. It is important to brush your teeth at least twice daily to help remove plaque and food particles that get stuck to your teeth.
It is recommended that you brush your teeth for two minutes (or longer), though most people rush through this time. You need to make sure that you reach every side of each tooth, including the inside and outside. To help keep your breath fresh, you should also brush your tongue. Then, you can begin flossing. It is recommended by the American Dental Association that you should floss your teeth at least once daily.
Flossing is done to remove plaque that gets stuck in between your teeth. It also gets rid of any plaque that your toothbrush missed (or can’t get to)! If you don’t floss, you will have more problems with tartar, cavities, and even gum disease. Though many people hate to do it, flossing is really necessary.
You can use dental floss or even a pick that is specially designed for flossing. Though flossing shouldn’t be painful, it can feel different and awkward so it is important to keep at it.
After a few days or weeks, it will become part of your dental routine.
